RAI SAHAB COUNCIL FOR SPORTS AND EDUCATION is a Non-Profit Organization founded by Capt Dhaval Sachdeva(Retd) and his brother Mr Pulkit Sachdeva as a Section 8 Company in March 2024, with an aim to promoting holistic development for all sections of the society through sports and education. After taking early retirement from the Indian Army, Capt Dhaval Sachdeva (Retd) along with his brother Mr Pulkit Sachdeva, an enthusiastic business administrator, envisioned a future where sports and education are used as powerful tools for positive social change specifically among young students who are gripped by Digital Media in current era. We aspire to create a world where individuals from all backgrounds have equal access to opportunities, and where communities are united through a shared passion for sports and learning.

Approach & Strategy
The development of sports and promotion of excellence, including performance at the national and international level, is a highly complex and multi-dimensional subject. The strategies include:
- Focused attention on areas and regions having potential of excellence in the specific sports disciplines and its integration with education.
- Encouraging active involvement of the corporate sector in developing academies and Centres of Excellence for different disciplines.
- Establishing infrastructure and an integrated framework for training and grooming talent at different age and proficiency levels, involving SAI, State Governments and National Sports Federations (NSFs).
- Strengthening scientific and technical support for sportspersons.
- National and International collaboration for sports development and sporting excellence.
- Evolving a structured system for spotting and increasing the talent pool in all disciplines and selected indigenous and other sports.

Capt Dhaval Sachdeva (Retd)
Founder & Director
Capt Dhaval Sachdeva (Retd), the founding Director of the company, served as an Indian Army Officer for 6 years and took early retirement in 2020. During his service, he was honoured with GOC-In-C Commendation Card award in January 2017 for his distinguished service in the Army.
After retirement, he has been actively involved in the development of Sports and Education in young students. He is an active member of Management Committee of Sachdeva Millennium School Agra, and Director of Sachdeva Millennium Consultancy Services Ltd.
Being a Chess enthusiast, he is a FIDE rated Chess player and also holds a FIDE license for Chess School Instructor. He is the pioneer of ‘Chess in School’ program along with all other social initiatives of the Company.
He holds a graduation degree of Bachelor of Technology – Biotechnology and Post Graduation Diploma in Defence Management and Strategic Studies.
An avid reader, and a social activist, he is also an active member of ‘Armed Forces Veteran Officers Association, Agra’ and ‘People For Animals’ NGO

Mr. Pulkit Sachdeva
Co-Founder & Director
Pulkit Sachdeva, the Director of the company, is a Business Management Post Graduate having 11 years of experience in administration and business management. Looking after the operations of the company, he is also working in the capacity of Pro – Vice Chairman of Sachdeva Millennium School Agra and Director of Sachdeva Millennium Consultancy Services Limited.
An active member of the team and expert professional in management, he is an imperative pillar of operations of the company.
Pulkit Sachdeva is also a Founder Trustee of Human Duties Foundation and an active member of Association of Progressive Schools of Agra.
Before joining full time into management duties, he has worked as a professional Voice-Over artist and featured in several advertisements on Radio and TV Stations. He still continues to pursue his hobby as a Voice Over Artist while being a devoted member of the Company’s management team.

Mr. Swapnil Bansod
International Arbiter of Chess
IA Swapnil Bansod is a renowned International Arbiter of Chess in India who has officiated in over 250 National and International Chess events in India and abroad. In his lustrous career of more than 17 years in Professional Chess, he achieved numerous accolades including :
- FIDE Arbiter Title (2009) – Youngest in India at the time
- International Arbiter Title (2012) – Youngest in India at the time
- National Instructor Title (2019)
- Category A Arbiter Title (2020) – Youngest in India
- FIDE Lecturer Title (2021) – One of only four in India and the youngest.
He has officiated as a Chief Arbiter in FIDE Women’s Grand Prix (2024, Shymkent, Kazakhstan); Deputy Chief Arbiter in FIDE World Cup 2025 (Goa, India) & FIDE World Youth Chess Championship (2019, Mumbai) and Match Arbiter in FIDE World Rapid & Blitz Championship 2024 (New York, USA), FIDE World Cadet Chess Championship (2018, Santiago, Spain), 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad (2022, Chennai).
He represented RTM Nagpur University in the All India Inter-University Chess Championship in 2008, 2009 & 2011 and also represented Maharashtra in Republic Day Parade in 2000 at New Delhi.
Swapnil Bansod is widely respected as a dedicated mentor, administrator, and ambassador of the game.

Anupam Bhattacharjee
International Arbiter (IA)
IA Anupam Bhattacharjee is a highly accomplished Indian chess arbiter and official, serving as a certified International Arbiter (IA). He has officiated in numerous national and international events and continues to contribute to the development of fair play, professional organization, and high-standard tournament management in chess.
He is trained to handle Digital Live Boards to broadcast chess game worldwide. Already officiated in more than 100 FIDE rated Chess events. He is also certified trainer for chess in school, course designed by All India Chess Federation.
Residing in Tripura, Agartala he is one of the leading Chess Arbiter in North East and is known for his excellent professional ethics and meticulous management of the Chess events.

Lalit Kapoor
International Arbiter (IA) and National Instructor (NI)
IA Lalit Kapoor is a highly accomplished chess professional with over three decades of experience as a player, coach, arbiter, and organizer, contributing extensively to the development of chess in India and at the international level. He holds the prestigious FIDE titles of International Arbiter (IA) and National Instructor (NI), reflecting his deep expertise in the Laws of Chess, tournament management, and structured coaching methodologies.
As a competitive player, Lalit Kapoor has participated in hundreds of over-the-board tournaments since 1994, earning multiple championship titles, gold medals at the university level, and consistent prize finishes across rated events. His achievements include district championships and recognition as “Player of the Year” for exceptional tournament performances.
Since 2016, he has been actively coaching players from beginner to advanced levels through both online and offline platforms, focusing on skill development, tournament preparation, and long-term chess growth.
With strong command over chess software, databases, engines, and event logistics, Lalit Kapoor is widely accomplished Chess professional.

Dr Poonam Tiwari Sachdeva
N-PDF Postdoctoral Fellow
Dr. Poonam Tiwari Sachdeva is an accomplished plant biologist and postdoctoral researcher with expertise in plant molecular biology, genetic engineering, and stress biology. She is currently working as an N-PDF Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Botany at Lucknow University, where her research focuses on improving arsenic resistance in rice through microRNA-based molecular strategies.
She earned her Ph.D. from CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute in collaboration with Kumaun University, with research centered on the molecular and functional characterization of abiotic stress-responsive genes in rice. She has held several prestigious research positions, including Research Associate at CSIR-NBRI and Postdoctoral Fellow at Ben-Gurion University, Israel, where she worked on sulphite-mediated drought resistance mechanisms.
She is working as an advisor in the company’s social initiative of integrating Sports into education and developing scientific methodologies and working structures to boost the growth of sports among students through structured workshops and seminars.
Ms. Aishwarya Ajmani
Consultant Psychologist
Ms. Aishwarya Ajmani holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and practices as a Cognitive Behaviour Therapist. She is the Founder of HappeeMindz and has collaborated with esteemed organizations such as Forest Essentials, the International Maritime Institute, and India Vision Foundation (founded by Dr. Kiran Bedi).
Her work spans diverse environments — from corporate boardrooms and wellness workshops to correctional facilities across Delhi NCR, including Tihar Jail and Mandoli Jail — where she has contributed to the emotional rehabilitation and well-being of over 200 male and female inmates.
With over 8 years of experience, she has counselled more than 1,000 clients, supporting them through relationship challenges, stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, phobias, anger concerns, and grief. She has joined the organization as a Guest lecturer who is instrumental in conducting workshops and counselling webinars with regards to psychological development and Cognitive behaviour of students.
